The Amityville Massacre
Saturday Oct 31, 2020
Saturday Oct 31, 2020
Happy Halloween!! On this episode Joe & James take a look at one of the original horror stories made famous by film and books, the case of the Amityville Murders. Most of what is known is made up of local myth and legends. Broad sensationalism that overlooks the true horror in the case is peeled back in this episode of A Dark Tale. A closer look at the lives lost, the stories that were produced and the man ultimately held responsible for that vicious night in New York. This is the true story of the Amityville Horror: The DeFeo Murders.

Gary Heidnik
Sunday Oct 18, 2020
Sunday Oct 18, 2020
The 1980's is one of the most tumultuous decades in American crime history. Those years set the tone for the classic image of a serial killer or deranged madman lurking in the shadows. Gary Heidnik was one of those men, committing crimes that would inspire Hollywood fiction that reshaped the horror genre.
This week, Joe tells the Dark Tale of Gary Heidnik and the atrocities he would commit upon 6 women over the course of 5 months. In the winter of 1986/87, Gary Heidnik was hellbent on having his own harem of women hidden away from the rest of the world in his basement on Marshall Street in Philadelphia.

Many are still trying to crack the case and in this episode we'll review the evidence and bring own conclusions to the table. What did you see in that video?

Conner & Brinley Snyder
Wednesday Apr 15, 2020
Wednesday Apr 15, 2020
A new episode, a new format. Joe takes to the mic solo in a case that is just as shocking as it is heartbreaking. Not to worry though, James will return in the very near future!
In this episode, we're talking about the shocking deaths of two young children found in their home by their very own mother. 8 year old Conner and his sister, 4 year old Brinley died in September of 2019, but the story of their deaths sounds like something out of a Steven King novel and isn't over yet. What unfolds is one of the Darkest Tales told yet and this cannot be stressed enough. This is the story of Conner & Brinley Snyder.

This week, Joe and James bring you a hometown horror story from the suburbs of Philadelphia...
In the summer of 2017, 4 young men were reported missing by their families. What would soon be uncovered in the following days seemed something like a twisted mafia-style slaying, but this wasn't the case at all. Join James and Joe as they discuss the details of what occurred on a secluded farm outside Philadelphia in July, 2017. This is the story of The Bucks County 4, Jimi Patrick, Mark Sturgis, Tom Meo & Dean Finocchioro.

The Case of DJ Fickey
Friday Nov 15, 2019
Friday Nov 15, 2019
DJ Fickey, a loved man and father of three, was killed on October 3rd 2016 and his death was ruled as a suicide.
DJ's family, aware of the circumstances surrounding his death believe it should not have been ruled a suicide and have been using every resource available to them to get the word out. Join us as we go over the details of the case using information provided by Amanda Shirley, DJ's sister, and as we sit in disbelief that this case never went further.
If what you hear has you convinced there is more going on, consider helping Amanda by signing this petition to re-open the case:
