A Dark Tale True Crime Podcast
About Us
Bio
We both have a passion for creating original content. The idea for this podcast was born out of that passion....in a cold basement we like to call our studio. To be completely honest, true-crime and podcasting in general is somewhat new to the both of us, outside of being listeners. With so much content out there already, we knew we'd be diving in to a new arena filled with experienced writers, broadcasters and journalists. Our credentials go as far as retired Marine and a college-dropout. We weren't sure how we wanted to express our creativity until we both realized that our own personal conversations often turn into what we enjoy listening to personally. With that in mind, we're not professional journalists or researchers. We don't have a broadcasting background so ultimately, we're really just having fun. It's our hope to educate, advocate and entertain with the stories we share.
As avid fans of classic psychological thrillers and horror films, think "The Shining", "A Clockwork Orange" and "American Psycho", we wanted to talk about the real people in our everyday lives who are seemingly normal on the surface, but hide something insidious within them. We want to remind everyone who is willing to listen that as we go about our daily routines, a dark fate could be lurking just around the corner. Possibly even in your own home, a place that is supposed to be the safest place in the world. We want to remind you all that 'Evil Could Be Anywhere' is not just a catch phrase or a hashtag. It's a constant reminder to be aware of what your surroundings are telling you. To show you, that the people you THINK you know may not be all that they seem.
The stories we tell are true. We find the facts first and present them as they are to you without a real filter. The people involved in these tales are not always monsters hiding in the dark, or down some vacant alleyway. Often most of the time, the real-life antagonist is very close to their victims before they commit a horrible crime. Friends of the family, neighbors, teachers, trusted members of their communities and in some cases, their own family members. Make no mistake about it, this podcast IS disturbing. It should be, because we are reflecting the darkest parts of life that humanity has to offer.
Welcome to A Dark Tale.
